Scarlets vs Bulls Predictions & Tips - Bulls set for convincing win in Wales

I am backing the Bulls to cover the -4 handicap despite the Scarlets showing some decent form of late.

Last season was the first time these two met. The Bulls were convincing 57-12 winners on home soil.

Scarlets are struggling down in 15th place this season on the URC table. They have won three, drawn won and lost eight of their 13 matches in the tournament.

While that makes for difficult reading, the Welsh outfit has improved recently. In all competitions they have won their last four matches. Scarlets beat the Dragons and Cardiff in the URC in the first week of the new year before seeing off the Cheetahs 20-17 at home in the Challenge Cup.

Last weekend the Scarlets were brilliant, winning 20-7 against Bayonne in France. That victory secured Scarlets spot in the next round of the Challenge Cup.

The Welsh side will be without players named in the Wales Six Nations squad.

After making the final of the URC last season, the Bulls are looking for a similar result this time around. They currently reside in third place on the table with eight wins and four defeats in 12 matches.

The runners-up from last season had a hiccup in form towards the end of 2022 where they lost three games in a row. They stopped the rot with a 29-14 win over the Dragons in early January.

That victory was followed by a 39-28 home win over Exeter in the Champions Cup. It secured qualification so Jake White sent a weakened side over for the final match last week. The Bulls lost 31-7 at Lyon.

Jake White has prioritized the URC this season so I expect him to name a full strength lineup for this clash.
