Mark Allen vs Jak Jones Preview
Mark Allen is the defending champion and should have too much class for Jak Jones. I'm backing him to win this quarter-final shootout.

Head to Head
Mark Allen leads the head-to-head 5-2 including winning the most recent meeting at the 2023 World Championships.
Mark Allen Form
Mark Allen made a winning start to his Champion of Champion title defence with a 4-2 victory over Igor Figueiredo earlier on Monday.
It has been a quiet season so far for the Northern Irishman, who has not replicated his exploits of the 2023/24 campaign yet.
His best efforts this season have been runs to the semi-finals of the British Open and the quarter-finals of the English Open.
Jak Jones Form
Jak Jones pulled of a small upset in his group semi-final on Monday afternoon, beating Gary Wilson 4-2 to set up this clash with Mark Allen.
The Welshman has been unable to go past the quarter-final stage of any tournament this season with the last eight of the British Open his best effort.
Jones has been in poor form since that run in September, losing four of his last six matches at the International Championship, Wuhan Open and Northern Ireland Open.
Jak Jones enjoyed a dream debut at the Crucible last season, reaching the World Championship Final before losing his Kyren Wilson.
Verdict
Mark Allen is the defending champion and should have too much class for Jak Jones. I'm backing him to win this quarter-final shootout.
