The UK Championship Snooker was first staged in 1977 and will take place for the 47th time in 2023.

It is the first Triple Crown and eighth ranking event of the season.

Mark Allen is the defending champion after victory over Ding Junhui in the 2022 final.

History


The UK Championship was first held in 1977 with Patsy Fagan the inaugural final. 

Ronnie O'Sullivan holds the record with seven titles, surpassing the six achieved by Steve Davis when he won in 2018.
