The 2023 World Snooker Championship is taking place from 15 April to 1 May at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The culmination of the 2022/23 ranking season, the 2023 World Snooker Championship is the 91st edition of the tournament.
This will be the 47th consecutive year the World Snooker Championship will be held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
World Snooker Championship 2023 Format
The World Snooker Championship qualifying rounds features 128 players including a mix of professional and invited amateur players.
There are 16 players that reach the first round against the top 16 players in the snooker world rankings.
- First round: best of 19 frames
- Second round: best of 25 frames
- Quarter-finals: best of 25 frames
- Semi-finals: best of 33 frames
- Final: best of 35 frames
