Alex de Minaur is 47-16 this year, losing to Jannik Sinner in the Rotterdam Open final before winning the Mexican Open.

He was unable to reach a semi-final on clay but the 25-year-old improved on grass, winning the title in 's-Hertogenbosch. He withdrew before a quarter-final clash against Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon.

The Australian returned to action at the US Open where he suffered a quarter-final defeat to Jack Draper. He competed in Antwerp, beaten by Hugo Gaston in another quarter-final exit.
