Novak Djokovic claimed his third successive title of 2020 at the Dubai Tennis Championships, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final. Another title awaited the world No. 1 when he beat Milos Raonic in the final of the Cincinnati Masters at the end of August.
Before to the French Open, Djokovic won the Italian Open, beating Diego Schwartzman in the final. This secured a fifth ATP title of the year.
Djokovic was disqualified from the US Open at the round of 16 stage after he accidently hit a line judge with the ball in frustration.
The Serb’s winning run was brought to an end in the French Open final by Rafael Nadal. Thereafter he suffered a shock defeat to Lorenzo Sonego in the Vienna Open quarters.

Alexander Zverev is in the form of his life as he seeks to win the ATP Finals title. Zverev was on a 12-match winning run until he suffered a 5-7 6-4 6-1 defeat to Daniil Medvedev in the Paris Masters final last week.
En route to the final Zverev saw off Adrian Mannarino, Stan Wawrinka and Rafael Nadal.
After winning the first set against Medvedev, Zverev looked like he was going to claim a hat-trick of ATP tournaments. Medvedev however worked his way into the match and then dominated.
Facing the same opponent in the first match of the ATP Finals, Alexander Zverev would have wanted to get right back on the winning horse. Unfortunately, this time the German couldn’t take a set as Medvedev cruised to a 6-3 6-4 victory.
Zverev however bounced back to beat Diego Schwartzman in three sets (6-3 4-6 6-3) in his next match to keep his tournament alive.
