What are your latest 2019 Australian Open Betting Tips & Predictions?

Novak Djokovic will be tough to beat in Melbourne and is the deserved favourite after coming back from a poor start in 2018 to win the Wimbledon and US Open titles. Djokovic then added the 2018 Cincinnati Open and 2018 Shanghai Open in a superb finish to the year.

Djokovic shares the record of six Australian open crowns with Roger Federer. The Swiss maestro is the defending Australian Open Champion and is expected to feature at the business end of the tournament.

Current World No.1 Rafael Nadal will be determined to make his mark on the Australian Open and add to his 2009 title. Nadal had a 45-4 record in 2018 and will be tough to beat at Melbourne Park.

The men's side of the draw is predicted to see the top three players compete for a place in the final. Djokovic had a terrific finish to the 2018 season with back to back Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open. Nadal and Federer are always a danger on any surface, it would be a major upset if any player outside the top three favourites win the tournament.

We are leaning towards a Djokovic vs Federer Final, but check in closer to the start of the tournament for a detailed preview, predictions and betting tips for the 2019 Australian Open.

On the women’s side of the draw, Serena Williams is the early favourite to claim her 8th Australian Open title. 2018 was a tough year for Williams with losses in both the Wimbledon and US Open Finals, but the American has an outstanding record in Melbourne and will be tough to beat.

Caroline Wozniacki is the defending title holder and is expected to face some tough opposition in a field that includes US Open winner Naomi Osaka, French Open Champion Simona Halep and Wimbledon conqueror Angelique Kerber.

Depending on the state of the draw an each way bet on Naomi Osaka and Sloane Stephens to make the final could offer value. Stephens has a tendency to favour the fast hardcourts as shown by her form over the US hardcourt circuit.

Osaka is fresh off her maiden Grand Slam title and has a terrific service game that can work in her favour at Melbourne Park. Serena Williams will be the sentimental favourite, but we are tipping an upset at the first Grand Slam of the season in Melbourne.

There is tremendous value on offer in the women's draw for the 2019 Australian Open with our preview, predictions and betting tips for the 2019 Australian Open coming shortly.
