Baltic Open Tennis History 


The Baltic Open began in 2019 at the National Tennis Center Lielupe in Jūrmala, Latvia. The tournament replaced the short lived Moscow River Cup that was an WTA Tour International-level professional women's tennis tournament that took place in 2018.

The Moscow River Cup was also played on outdoor clay courts at the National Tennis Center of Juan Antonio Samaranch in Moscow. The tournament was won by Olga Danilović who defeated Anastasia Potapova 7-5, 6-7(1-6), 6-4 in the final.

The prize money on offer at the 2019 Baltic Open was €250,000. 

2020 Baltic Open Tennis Singles Prize Money Breakdown


The 2019 Baltic Open winner received €34,677 and the beaten finalist €17,258. Semi-finalists received €9,274, quarter-finalists €4,980, second round €2,742 and first round €1,694. It should stay much the same in 2020.
