Since losing the Australian Open final to Daniil Medvedev, Tsitsipas has been busy on tour. He has played in Rotterdam, Marseille, Acapulco, Miami and Monte Carlo and now Barcelona over the last two months.

Tsitsipas lost in the semi-finals in Rotterdam to Andrey Rublev, the final in Acapulco to Alexander Zverev and quarter-finals in Miami to Hubert Hurkacz.

He ended the frustrating run with victory in Monte Carlo, gaining revenge on Rublev to claim a first title of the year.

Tsitsipas has carried on last week's form into Barcelona, not dropping a set in wins over Jaume Munar, Alex De Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Jannik Sinner.
