Carlos Alcaraz is the favourite to win the 2024 French Open following Novak Djokovic's withdrawal from the tournament. The Serbian suffered a knee injury in his five-set win over Francisco Cerundolo in the fourth round.
Djokovic was scheduled to face Casper Ruud in the quarter-finals. The Norwegian will now get a free pass to the semi-finals where he will take on fourth seed Alexander Zverev or 11th seed Alex de Minaur on Friday.
Alcaraz For is 22-5 this year, winning one event at the Indian Wells Masters. His best result at Roland Garros came in a semi-final appearance last year.
The World No.3 defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 6-3 6-1 in the fourth round and will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals where he is a short priced favourite after winning all five matches against the Greek.
