Djokovic reached the US Open round of 16 but was disqualified after hitting a ball into a line judge’s neck. It was a bizarre incident that left most of the tennis world stunned.

Novak Djokovic put that disappointment behind him by winning the Italian Open. He beat Filip Krajinovic, Dominik Koepfer, Casper Ruud before a 7-5 6-3 win against Diego Schwartzman in the final.

Thiem bounced back at the US Open to win his first Grand Slam singles title. He beat Felix Auger Aliassime, Alex De Minaur and Daniil Medvedev in straight sets before a 2-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6 win against Alexander Zverev in the final.

The Greek lost to World No. 52 Aljaz Bedene in the ATP Rotterdam round of 16 but bounced back to win in Marseille. He had a relatively easy run to the final where he beat World No.18 Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 6-4.

Tsitsipas reached the final in Dubai, going down 6-3 6-4 to Novak Djokovic. He returned to action at the Western & Southern Open going down to Milos Raonic in the semi-finals.

The 22-year-old suffered a disappointing exit at the US Open. He beat Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Maxime Cressy before a 6-7 6-4 4-6 7-5 7-6 defeat to World No.32 Borna Coric.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was knocked out of the Italian Open in the first round by World No.81 Jannik Sinner. He managed to put that behind him at the Hamburg European Open.

Tsitsipas beat Daniel Evans, Pablo Cuevas and Stefanos Tsitsipas to set up a semi-final match against Christian Garin.
