Aryna Sabalenka vs Coco Cauff Tips & Preview

Aryna Sabalenka won her first five matches in straight sets in Paris, including beating Amanda Anisimova and Qinwen Zheng in at-times challenging matches.

Her biggest test came against four-time champion Iga Swiatek in the semifinals.

She sprinted to the finish line in the third set to beat the Pole, 7-6, 4-6, 6-0, ending her opponent's 26-match winning streak at Roland-Garros.

Sabalenka has surged into her sixth career Grand Slam final and the first outside hard courts.

She has won three major titles, most recently beating Jessica Pegula at the 2024 US Open, but could not pick up a fourth at the expense of Madison Keys in Melbourne this January.

Coco Gauff has won five of her six matches in straight sets, with her toughest test coming against Madison Keys in the quarterfinals.

She dismissed French wildcard Lois Boisson in the semifinals, 6-1, 6-2, in just under 70 minutes, ending her opponent's fairytale run and confirming her third major final.

Gauff arrived in Paris following back-to-back WTA 1000 runner-up finishes in Madrid and Rome and has extended her summer clay-court win-loss record to 17-3.

While she lost her 2022 Roland-Garros final to Iga Swiatek in straight sets, Gauff rallied from a set down in the final of the 2023 US Open to become a Grand Slam champion at the age of 19.
