The world No.1 began his pursuit of a second French Open title with a  6-0 6-2 6-3 win over Mikael Ymer. That was followed up with another comfortable 6-1 6-2 6-2 win over Ricardas Berankis.

Round three did not get any tougher with the Serb beating Daniel Elahi Galan 6-0 6-3 6-2 before facing Karen Khachanov in the fourth round. While it was more competitive Djokovic still managed a straight sets 6-4 6-3 6-3 victory.
