Karue Sell, after shifting his focus to coaching and becoming a YouTuber when his professional tennis career stalled, has finally made his debut in the main draw of a tour-level event at the age of 31.

The Brazilian earned this breakthrough in Geneva by defeating Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Remy Bertola in the qualifying rounds over the weekend, winning both matches in three sets.

This success is a direct result of the hard work Sell put in on the lower-level circuit throughout 2024. He played an impressive 76 matches, won 56 of them, claimed two titles, and broke into the top 300 for the first time in his career.

Sell knows he now has a huge opportunity in front of him. One strong week at this level could completely change his path and bring him closer to achieving the dreams that once seemed out of reach when he stepped away from professional tennis to focus on YouTube.

Fabian Marozsan has bounced back from a slow and frustrating start to the year, consistently winning matches since the beginning of the clay swing.

He earned his best result of the season by reaching the semifinals in Munich last month and followed it up with a third-round run at the Rome Masters last week. His season win-loss record now stands at 15–12, with seven of those wins coming on clay.

The Hungarian fell out of the top 50 earlier this year due to his poor form, but he has a chance to reclaim that ranking in Geneva this week, as he has no points to defend at the tournament.

Marozsan is making his ATP Geneva debut in 2024, though it got off to a disappointing start as he lost his opening-round match in straight sets to underdog Alexander Shevchenko.
