She was left bitterly disappointed with her runner-up finish at the Australian Open, missing the chance to win that tournament for the third year in a row. It was followed by a poor Middle-East swing.

There is no reason for Sabalenka to overthink these results. She remains the best player on the tour as of now, with titles in Cincinnati, US Open, Wuhan, and Brisbane in the last 12 months.

She is nearly assured of defeating Viktoriya Tomova in straight sets in Miami, a tournament where she has been a two-time quarterfinalist.
