It will be her third semifinal in Miami, where she could not win a set in her prior bids to reach the finals in 2022 and 2023.

She has reached four finals in North America since August 2024 (Toronto, Cincinnati, US Open, and Austin) and is expected to make another one, regardless of her opponent's Cinderella run.
