The Bulgarian was last seen in Miami where he beat Karen Khachanov, Brandon Nakashima and Francisco Cerundolo on his way to the semi-finals. He couldn’t stop Novak Djokovic, going down 6-2 6-3 in 70 minutes.

Dimitrov eased past Nicolas Jarry 6-3 6-4 in his opening match in Monte-Carlo, saving 7/9 break points. He survived a scare in the second round, overcoming Valentin Vacherot 4-6 6-3 6-1 after saving 7/11 break points.
