Open 13 History


The Open 13 was first held in 1993 as a project of former professional tennis player and Marseille native Jean-François Caujolle. Marc Rosset won the title in the first two singles event in 1993 and 1994 and collected his third trophy in 2000. 

Roger Federer reached final in 2000, winning the 2003 Open 13 after a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Jonas Björkman. Other notable winners include former world No. 1 players Boris Becker, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro. 

French players have won the most titles at ATP Marseille, winnin nine singles titles and 11 doubles titles.
