Aleksandar Kovacevic had a slow start to the season, losing to Christopher Eubanks in the Canberra Challenger first round. He was unable to qualify for the Australian Open, eliminated by World No.239 Gauthier Onclin.
The American found some form at the Oeiras Challenger, winning the title without facing a Top 150 player. He stayed on the Challenger circuit in Quimper where he went out in the second round to Matteo Martineau.
