Almost all the top players on the ATP Tour and WTA Tour will be competing at the 2020 US Open. The 2020 US Open men's and women's singles tournaments feature 128 players each, the doubles featuring 64 players.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic some players have decided not to compete. These include Nick Kyrgios, Rafael Nadal, Simona Halep and Bianca Andreescu.
