Matteo Berrettini Form
Matteo Berrettini has won 30 of the 36 matches he has played in 2021. He had a rough start to the year with an abdominal injury but has been in superb form since returning in April.
After reaching his first Masters 1000 Series final in Madrid and making the French Open quarterfinals, Berrettini won the prestigious Queen’s Club title on grass, dropping just one set.
Berrettini did drop a set in his first match of Wimbledon 2021, against former quarterfinalist Guido Pella, but has cruised through since then. He was untroubled in straight sets wins over Botic van de Zandschulp, Aljaz Bedene and Ilya Ivashka, beating the Belarusian 6-4 6-3 6-1.
Felix Auger-Aliassime should be a much tougher opponent, however.

Felix Auger-Aliassime Form
Felix Auger-Aliassime made a significant breakthrough in his career by beating Alexander Zverev to reach his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at Wimbledon.
Auger-Aliassime had never taken a set from Zverev in three previous meetings or beaten a top-10 player at a Grand Slam. Auger-Aliassime came back from breaks down in the first two sets to win both.
Although the German surged back after losing the first two sets, Auger-Aliassime imposed himself in the fifth set for a 6-4 7-6 3-6 3-6 6-4 victory. He was helped a lot by 20 double faults from Zverev, often at crucial points in the match (three in one game to be broken at the start of the fifth set).
Auger-Aliassime has had two long matches at Wimbledon so far, although he was helped by a retirement after two sets from Nick Kyrgios in the third round.
Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Zverev meet in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Wednesday 7 July.

Berrettini has been so secure on serve in his grass-court matches in 2021, it looks like it’s going to take something very special to beat him.
Auger-Aliassime played well against Zverev but still needed a lot of help from the German. Berrettini looks likely to continue his superb form.
