Viktoriya Tomova’s struggles have continued throughout the 2025 season, with just five main-draw wins to her name so far.

Aside from quarterfinal runs in Cluj-Napoca and at the WTA 125 event in Bari, she has suffered early exits in all her other appearances. She is currently on a nine-match losing streak and has not won a main-draw match since Miami.

During the grass-court swing, Tomova has played five matches, earning two wins—both coming in the qualifying rounds in Berlin. In her most recent outing, she showed some resilience in Eastbourne, taking Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to three sets in a 6-1, 6-7, 7-6 defeat in the first round.

Tomova has featured in the Wimbledon main draw four times, progressing past the first round in three of those appearances (2018, 2022, and 2023). However, she comes into this year’s tournament on a four-match losing streak in Grand Slam main draws.

Ons Jabeur has struggled with injuries over the past couple of seasons, which have disrupted her schedule and prevented her from maintaining consistent top-level results.

After ending her 2024 campaign following the grass swing, she returned strongly in early 2025, winning 11 matches across her first five events. That run included quarterfinal appearances in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

However, her form has dipped since Dubai. She has managed just three main-draw wins across her last eight tournaments, two of which came in Berlin, where she reached the quarterfinals as a lucky loser.

Grass remains Jabeur’s most successful surface, with a career win-loss record of 76–26. Two of her three Grand Slam final appearances have come at Wimbledon.
