Ellis ($2.10), Harry Garside ($4.00) and Aesha Scott ($5.00) currently head the betting.

The outsiders to win are Nathan Henry ($12.00) and Adam Cooney ($12.00) with Woody Whitelaw the latest to be eliminated despite being fourth favourite at the time.

Ellis was installed as the favourite after previous market leader to win Peter Helliar was the seventh person to be eliminated in a shock result.

The new series premiered on April 2, 2023 with hosts Julia Morris and Chris Brown. The series returned to Africa for the first time since 2020 after being filmed in Australia due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The series has always been such a big hit for a number of reasons. Many enjoy getting to see celebrities in a more relaxed setting, with the stars able to really show who they are.

However, the majority of viewers simply enjoy watching the stomach-turning tasks and challenges that the contestants are forced to do throughout their time in the jungle to win stars for camp, with these stars translated into meals for the camp.

The competition this year sees some big names participating, with former-AFL star Cooney joined by lightweight boxer Garside, Geordie Shore star Henry and former netball player Ellis.

However, with so many big names being a part of the reality series this year, it means some massive names have already left. Kerri-Anne Kennerley left the show on April 6, while Anna Polyviou was the first to be eliminated on April 16, with Bianca Hunt, Ian Dickson and Nick Cummins all following.

Next to be eliminated were Home and Away actress Debra Lawrance and then Married at First Sight star Domenica Calarco. Peter Helliar was the seventh to be eliminated with the series now edging towards its climax with just a handful of contestants left.
