Olympic gold medal winner Keely Hodgkinson is the odds on favourite to be named BBC Sports Personality of the Year for 2024, according to the bookmakers.
Hodgkinson added to Great Britain’s medal tally with her victory in the women’s 800m, living up to her billing as a favourite to claim the gold.
She is now the favourite to win the annual BBC sports gong too, with Coral going 1/2 about her being named BBC Sports Personality of the Year this winter.
“Keely Hodgkinson was a hot favourite going into the women’s 800m final, and she justified those odds to prevail comfortably,” Coral’s John Hill told FreeTips.com.
“She is now the odds-on favourite to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award in 2024.”
Her biggest rival for the gong at this time is rising darts star Luke Littler, while cyclist Mark Cavendish is 8/1 after his record-setting performance in the Tour de France.
