After being installed as the pre-launch show favourite with bookmakers to win Strictly Come Dancing 2020, Maisie Smith remains the market leader in the latest Strictly 2020 odds - although she didn't finish Week 1 at the top of the leaderboard and is now being joined at the front of the market by HRVY ahead of Week 2.

The 2020 edition of Strictly launched earlier this month, and 12 celebrities are appearing on the latest edition of the smash-hit BBC One dancing show.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's series will be slightly shorter than planned, but the format is expected to follow previous years ahead of a live final in December.

Eastenders star Maisie, who won the show's Children in Need special alongside Kevin Clifton in 2019, is the early bookies favourite and at time of writing is a best priced 7/4 with William Hill to win Strictly.

She is followed by HRVY, who is 2/1 at time of writing - in from 4/1 before last week's weekend Week 1 performances.

HRVY and Janette Manrara topped the week one leaderboard with 25 points, narrowly ahead of Maisie and Gorka Marquez (24).

They were followed by Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe, who scored 21 points, as did Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice, and Nicola Adams and Katya Jones.

Jacqui Smith and Anton Du Beke found themselves at the bottom of the week one leaderboard on 13 points, narrowly behind Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer (14), and Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse (15).

Jacqui Smith remains favourite to be the first celebrity eliminated from the show next weekend and is 4/7 with bet365 to be the first celebrity to exit the show.
