He goes into this fight on a four-fight win streak, having rebounded from a rough run of form in 2020 that saw him lose twice in the space of three fights.

Vera dropped decisions to Song Yadong and Jose Aldo either side of a first-round knockout of Sean O’Malley.

The 30-year-old Ecuadorian has been on a tear since though, sparking his current win streak with a unanimous decision win against Davey Grant.

He followed that up with a third-round knockout of former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, before besting Ron Font over five rounds.
