The 2026 APT Incheon Main Event at Paradise City Casino drew a record 1,393 entries, generating a $2,148,960 prize pool. Exceeding its original guarantee, the tournament paid 207 players, with $374,085 and a Taipei APT Championship seat awaiting the winner.
The 2026 Asian Poker Tour (APT) Incheon Main Event has officially written a new chapter in Asian poker history. Held at the Paradise City Casino, the flagship tournament surpassed expectations early when its $1 million guarantee was met before action even commenced in the third of four live opening flights.
By the close of registration, the tournament generated a record-breaking field of 1,393 entries. This turnout represents a near-10% increase over the previous venue record of 1,281 entries set in 2025.
The massive turnout establishes the 2026 edition as the largest international poker tournament ever hosted in the city of Incheon.
Within the broader landscape of South Korean poker, it ranks as the second-largest APT Main Event ever held in the country, positioned behind only the APT Jeju festival, which drew 1,718 entries.
Additionally, this event stands as the eighth-largest APT Main Event since the tour launched its new era in 2023.
Evaluating the achievement, APT CEO Fred Leung highlighted the brand's momentum across the region.
"While record-breaking fields have become something we expect of ourselves on the Asian Poker Tour," said Leung. "We're very pleased to see the APT Incheon Main Event surpass last year's record turnout."
"Particularly with so many overlapping poker festivals in Asia taking place after the conclusion of WSOP, the continued growth is a strong reflection of the confidence players have in the APT."
The heavy attendance transformed the initial $1 million baseline into a final prize pool of $2,148,960, more than doubling the original guarantee. A total of 207 players made the money, with each securing at least $2,700 for their efforts.
For the eventual champion, the roughly $1,765 buy-in tournament offers a top prize of $374,085 alongside the coveted golden APT Lion trophy.
Beyond the immediate cash payouts, added value awaits the top finishers. The top three players in the APT Incheon Main Event will each receive a complimentary seat into the $5 million guaranteed APT Championship, scheduled to take place this November in Taipei.
