This Cookie Policy explains how FreeTips uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy and the live Cookie Settings interface.

The identity and contact details of the controller responsible for FreeTips are stated in the Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or accessed from your device when you use a website.

Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels, software development kits, tags, device identifiers and other methods that store or access information on a device. In this Policy, cookies includes these technologies where appropriate.

FreeTips does not treat continued browsing, scrolling, inactivity or use of the site as consent to optional cookies.

Where consent is required, optional technologies remain disabled until you make an affirmative choice.

The consent interface provides:

- Accept all;

- Reject all; and

- Manage preferences.

Accept and Reject must be presented with comparable prominence. Optional categories must not be pre-selected.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link available from every page.

Strictly necessary technologies are used only where required to operate FreeTips or provide functionality you explicitly request.

They may be used for:

- security and abuse prevention;

- network and content delivery;

- authentication and account sessions;

- remembering your privacy choice;

- load balancing and service reliability; and

- functionality specifically requested by you.

Where permitted by law, these technologies operate without consent. They must not be used for unrelated advertising or behavioural tracking.

Analytics technologies help us understand how FreeTips is used, diagnose faults and improve performance.

They may process pages viewed, sessions, referral source, device information, approximate location, interactions, errors and analytics identifiers.

Where consent is required, analytics technologies remain disabled until you accept the analytics category.

These technologies may remember optional preferences, personalise editorial content or provide enhanced features.

Where a technology is not strictly necessary, it operates only after any required consent has been provided.

These technologies may be used to:

- measure advertising;

- identify campaigns;

- measure clicks on commercial links;

- attribute referrals to partners;

- prevent invalid or fraudulent traffic; and

- understand interactions with commercial content.

Where storing or accessing information on your device for these purposes requires consent, the technology remains disabled until consent is given for the relevant category.

FreeTips contains affiliate links.

When you select an affiliate link, FreeTips may process server request information required to route the link securely and record the referral. Where a cookie or similar device identifier is used for attribution and requires consent, it is used only after consent.

The destination Operator or affiliate provider may receive a referral or campaign identifier.

After you leave FreeTips, the destination website may place its own cookies or use other technologies under its own policies.

FreeTips does not control cookies placed independently by a destination Operator after you leave FreeTips. This does not affect FreeTips' responsibility for technologies placed or accessed through FreeTips itself.

FreeTips or its consent-management provider may store a strictly necessary record of:

- your consent choices;

- the date and time of the choice;

- a consent identifier;

- the relevant policy or interface version; and

- information required to apply and demonstrate the choice.

The live Cookie Settings interface contains the current inventory of cookies and similar technologies identified on FreeTips.

For each technology, the interface should state, where applicable:

- name;

- provider;

- purpose;

- category;

- duration;

- whether it is first-party or third-party; and

- whether consent is required.

The inventory must be regenerated or reviewed after material changes to FreeTips, its tag manager, advertising stack, analytics tools, consent manager or embedded services.

Cookie duration varies by purpose.

Session technologies expire when the relevant session ends. Persistent technologies remain for the period stated in Cookie Settings unless deleted earlier.

Consent-dependent technologies must not have a duration longer than reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.

You can reopen Cookie Settings from every page and change your choice without greater effort than was required to give consent.

Withdrawal prevents future use of technologies based on that consent. It does not retrospectively affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

Your browser or device may allow you to block or delete cookies independently of FreeTips Cookie Settings.

Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent requested functionality from operating correctly, including login, security or storage of your privacy choice.

Browser controls do not replace the FreeTips consent interface.

We may update this Policy when the technologies used by FreeTips or applicable legal requirements change.

The current effective date and version will appear on this page.
