WSOP Europe 2024
Italian poker player Simone Andrian has shipped the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe 2024 for a sum of €1.3 Million. The runner-up was Urmo Velvelt from Estonia. He took a pay cheque of €854,000

Talking about the WSOP Europe 2024  Main Event champion, Andrian has been playing online poker for three years now and has recorded live earnings from the year 2018.

The Italian has clinched his maiden WSOP gold bracelet in the Main Event. Previously Andrian scored €158,616 from the €1,650 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max event at the 2021 WSOP Europe.

The Main Event win marks Andrian’s career-best live score at €1,300,000 which tops his last best live cash of $165,000 from the Merit Poker Western Series. Andrian is now a part of the elite group of players who have shipped the WSOP Europe Main Event titles.

The newly crowned winner emerged victorious from an entry field of 768 players. He beat Velvelt heads-up that ran for over three hours.
Andrian expressed his thoughts on winning the coveted title and said, “It's amazing. By far the biggest score of my career. I couldn't be more happy. I've been playing here a lot, and to have this kind of score here feels special.”

Andrian faced a swingy final day especially the heads-up session. He added, "It was very, very tough. We were super deep. Playing heads-up super deep, with 100 big blinds each, it's tough. Usually, you don't get to play super big pots."

Andrian’s rail was supportive throughout the final battle and was seen cheering for him. Apart from the WSOP Europe Main Event title, Andrian has secured another six-figure cashes, which brings his total live tournament earnings to over $2.7 Million.

In the final hand of heads-up, Velvelt five-bet shoved Ace-Ten offsuit into Andrian's Dimes. The Italian snap-called. The community cards did nothing for the Estonian and Andrian scooped the coveted title.
