Ocean KO Combines Progressive Bounties With Random Rewards on GGPoker
GGPoker has introduced Ocean KO, a ground-breaking tournament format that launched on October 2, 2026. Ocean KO merges progressive knockouts (PKO) with randomized bounty multipliers and features a 14-tier evolution system. Each player elimination triggers a Bounty Wheel, which applies a random multiplier based on the eliminated player's tier, resulting in potential rewards of up to x400 the bounty value at regular tiers and $1.5 million or more at the 'Legendary Shark' tier. This format introduces dynamic, high-stakes poker action and caters to a range of competitive players.
- Ocean KO adds random bounty multipliers (up to x400) to PKO format.
- Players progress through 14 tiers, with Legendary Shark knockouts worth $1.5M+.
- Each elimination triggers a Bounty Wheel, making rewards unpredictable and exciting.

GGPoker launched Ocean KO on October 2, 2026, introducing a tournament format that combines progressive knockout (PKO) poker with random bounty multipliers and a 14-tier evolution system. The format retains the standard PKO structure while adding a Bounty Wheel that determines rewards for each elimination.
Players in Tiers 1 through 10 can receive knockout rewards of up to 400 times the eliminated player's bounty value. At the highest level, Legendary Shark, a single knockout reward can reach $1.5 million or more.
How Ocean KO Bounties Work
In a standard PKO tournament, part of the buy-in enters the regular prize pool while the remainder becomes a bounty.
Typically, excluding fees, the split is 50/50. When a player is eliminated, half their bounty goes to the player responsible for the knockout, while the other half increases the winner's bounty.
Ocean KO applies a randomly selected multiplier to the eliminated player's full bounty. For Tiers 1 through 10, multipliers range from x0.4 to x400.
The resulting Random Bounty is divided equally, with 50% credited to the winner's GG wallet and 50% added to their bounty.
For example, eliminating a player with a $50 bounty at x2 generates a $100 Random Bounty, split into $50 cash and $50 in bounty growth.
At x0.4, the reward falls to $20, split into $10 cash and $10 added to the winner's bounty. GGPoker says most spins land at x1 or below, while larger multipliers are comparatively rare.
| Tier | Name | Bounty / Starting Bounty | Multiplier Range | Maximum KO Reward |

| 2 | Fry | $6 | x0.4 to x400 | $2,400 |
| 3 | Fish | $7 | x0.4 to x400 | $2,800 |
| 4 | Shrimp | $10 | x0.4 to x400 | $4,000 |
| 5 | Crab | $15 | x0.4 to x400 | $6,000 |
| 6 | Turtle | $25 | x0.4 to x400 | $10,000 |
| 7 | Octopus | $50 | x0.4 to x400 | $20,000 |
| 8 | Dolphin | $100 | x0.4 to x400 | $40,000 |
| 9 | Whale | $200 | x0.4 to x400 | $80,000 |

Ocean KO's 14 Bounty Tiers
The first 10 tiers scale according to the tournament buy-in. In a $10 event, players progress from Egg, with a $5 starting bounty, to Shark, with a $500 bounty and a maximum knockout reward of $200,000.
The final four levels use fixed thresholds: Legendary Octopus (10,000),LegendaryDolphin(50,000), Legendary Whale (250,000) and Legendary Shark (1 million).
The highest tier carries a maximum knockout reward of $1.5 million or more. Multipliers become
narrower at these levels, and rewards below the displayed bounty remain possible.
Tier progression depends on bounty value, not chip count or knockouts. Players can skip tiers after large rewards, but progression resets after each tournament. Starting tiers also vary by bounty allocation. In a $100 tournament using a 20/80 split, players begin with an $80 bounty at Tier 3, Fish.
Final Spins and Tournament Rules
Ocean KO champions receive two final spins. The first comes from eliminating the runner-up and follows the standard 50/50 cash and bounty split. The Final Bounty Spin uses the champion's updated bounty and tier and is paid entirely in cash.
The format also supports separate spins for multiple knockouts, equal bounty distribution when players split an eliminating pot, and server-determined results that are processed even if a player disconnects.
Players can track tiers through table icons and the tournament lobby's Live Status panel. Ocean KO is available in GGPoker's tournament lobby and eligible for GGPoker Staking where local regulations permit it.
