The 2026 Champion Stakes is headed by last year's winner Calandagan and runner-up Ombudsman, who both enjoyed Group One success in Dubai earlier this season. The market leaders will be looking to bounce back from recent defeats, but face strong opposition from Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe runner-up Bay City Roller and Tattersalls Gold Cup winner Almaqam, who finished ahead of Ombudsman in the Juddmonte International. Prix du Jockey Club and Eclipse winner Constitution River adds further quality to Saturday's Ascot showpiece, with Devil's Advocate completing the six-runner field.
