Glorious Goodwood Day 3 Tips
1:50pm Goodwood - Kincsem Heritage Handicap Tips
Considering how well he ran in a similarly lucrative Heritage Handicap at the July Festival, DECADE OF TIME (5/1) looks well treated after a mere two-pound rise in the weights.
Jack Channon's three-year-old won two maidens over a mile going into the July Festival, but was weak in the betting ahead of the Oddschecker Handicap, drifting from 6s out to 9/1. Decade Of Time was keen early on, pulling himself into an early lead. George Bass' mount was passed at the two pole, but battled on bravely, losing out by less than two lengths to a classy rival in Heraldry.
Channon's colt saw out the ten-furlong trip really well that day, and that big Festival experience should stand him in excellent stead when he arrives at Goodwood. Being drawn wide isn't ideal, but plenty of horses have won the Kincsem Handicap from a double-figure stall down the years. Tom Marquand should fancy his chances.
2:25pm Goodwood - Richmond Stakes Tips
Plenty of horses have gone from the Coventry Stakes to winning the Richmond down the years. Three of the first four home from that Royal Ascot Group Two sit prominently in the betting here, and I like the chances of CUT A DASH (7/2).
Richard Hannon's youngster won nicely on debut over five furlongs at York, and was fancied by some as he stepped up in trip at Ascot. Sean Levey's mount was a little slowly away, but warmed to his task nicely, hitting the line strongly just a length adrift of the excellent Great Barrier Reef.
Hannon has won the Richmond on several occasions, and he's already had a couple of winners this week. Cut A Dash's dam was only beaten a neck in the Prestige Stakes here at Goodwood during her career. Everything points towards a big run from this talented son of Starspangledbanner.
3:00pm Goodwood - Gordon Stakes Tips
A trappy little contest. Geryon is a horse that I like, but I don't think Ger Lyons' colt has been crying out for this extended trip. Bay Of Brilliance has to bounce back from a shocking run out in Germany, and most of the other runners are stepping up from handicap company.
The rank outsider of the field, MAGNETUDE (22/1), isn't without a shout. James Owen's star has only run poorly once this season, and that came in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot, where he was too keen and Harry Davies was never able to get his mount involved in the contest.
Either side of that disappointing run, Magnetude has traded victories with a talented young stayer in Mythical Bay. Owen's colt made all to beat his rival at Chester, and went down fighting as Mythical Bay reversed that form in a valuable handicap during the July Festival.
Oisin Murphy takes the ride for the first time on Thursday, and I'm sure he'll ride Magnetude confidently, knowing that he stays further than a mile and a half. Venetian Lace will go forward too, and if this Group Two turns into a proper test of stamina, then Magnetude could be the one who comes out on top.

4:10pm Goodwood - Buccellati Handicap Tips
MANATEE MEHMAS (12/1) looked destined for Pattern company after blowing his rivals away on debut at Doncaster in May.
David O'Meara's youngster then ran in the Westow Stakes at York, where he was too keen and faded back to fourth late on. Manatee Mehmas then hung badly to the right in the closing stages of the Scurry Stakes at Sandown, and was allowed to coast home under Danny Tudhope in last place.
O'Meara's sprinter ran well on his handicap debut at York last month, where he again took a while to settle but kept on gamely to finish a clear third behind Naana's Shadow and Schrodinger's Cat. Manatee Mehmas has a few lengths to find with those rivals in this handicap, but Tudhope's mount has been learning on the job this season, and remains capable of a big step forward.
After Dr Rascal won the Vintage Stakes on day one, MIA FANTASIA (10/1) could be worth backing in this nursery handicap off an opening mark of just 79.
Hugo Palmer's colt won really nicely on debut, and was sent off at 9/4 to win a Conditions Stakes at Ascot next time out. Dr Rascal came out on top that day, but Mia Fantasia caught the eye as he recovered well from a slow start to eventually finish third.
Oisin Murphy's mount was beaten six lengths by Dr Rascal that day, but I thought Mia Fantasia shaped much better than the winning margin suggests. Most of the pace seems to have been drawn high in this large-field handicap, so Mia Fantasia could be placed perfectly to track the front-runners from his draw in stall 13.
5:20pm Goodwood - Maiden Fillies' Stakes Tips
Aidan O'Brien has won this maiden a couple of times down the years, and So Lovely looks the most likely winner here following a solid debut run at Leopardstown. I can't find anything to take the short-priced favourite on with, so I'll leave this race alone and save my stake for the lucky last.
5:55pm Goodwood - HKJC World Pool Handicap Tips
An impressive winner of two maidens at Kempton over the winter, ZENNOR STORM (12/1) was hugely disappointing in his first two handicap starts. William Haggas' charge bombed on his reappearance at Newmarket in May, and was no better at Newbury two weeks later, crossing the line last of the ten runners.
Zennor Storm was gelded after those poor performances, and made his comeback at York a month ago. Tom Marquand's mount was slowly away, and had to come around the houses to make his challenge. Yet, Zennor Storm picked up really well and hit the line strong, finishing a very close fourth behind Cadarn and Andesite.
Haggas has fitted cheekpieces for this Festival assignment. Being drawn out wide in stall 13 isn't ideal, but I'm sure Marquand will want to slot in anyway and try to deliver this quirky but talented gelding as late as possible.
