It's all change at the top of the Grand National betting. I Am Maximus led the way at 9:00am this morning, but the 2024 champion has drifted down to fourth in the current market.
The new favourite is Panic Attack, who has been backed off the boards all week and money continues to arrive for Dan Skelton's mare. Second in the betting is Jagwar, having been backed in from 10s to 8/1 during the course of the morning.
Grangeclare West has been a popular bet since his victory in the Bobbyjo Chase. Ultima winner, Johnnywho will also fly the flag for JP McManus. Those famous silks will also be carried by last year's beaten favourite Iroko, talented novice Oscars Brother, and Gavin Cromwell's Perceval Legallois.
Henry de Bromhead's nine-year-old Monty's Star was popular with the newspaper experts this morning. Gorgeous Tom also represents the same stable. Scottish Grand National winner Captain Cody is available at a decent price, along with Irish and Welsh Grand National winner Haiti Couleurs.
Cross Country first and second, Final Orders and Favori de Champdou feature in the field, along with former Grade One winners Gerri Colombe, Stellar Story, Banbridge, Lecky Watson and Champ Kiely. Ben Jones rides Jordans for Joseph O'Brien. Everything else can be backed at 50/1+.
