Along with the best of the action from Leopardstown on Sunday, ITV Racing viewers will enjoy a series of strong races from the second day of Musselburgh's Scottish Cheltenham Trials meeting.

I've covered every race on day one of the Dublin Racing Festival here on our website. Here are my best betting tips for all of Sunday's ITV races at Musselburgh.

ITV Racing Tips - Sunday 1st February

12:55pm Musselburgh - Scottish Supreme Novices' Hurdle Tips

One of the few horses to run at Musselburgh this weekend who looks to have a genuine chance at the Cheltenham Festival is Mossy Fen Road. Harry Derham's star was hugely impressive when scoring at Chepstow over Christmas, and I expect he'll make light work of the task at hand on Sunday.

The favourite isn't available at a backable price, but it might be worth taking the 20/1 that's available for Mossy Fen Road to win the 2026 Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

If you can put a line through his most recent run at Kempton, then GO WEST (4/1) looks to offer good value in this handicap named after his old stablemate.

Paul Nicholls' star beat future winner Josh The Boss on his chasing debut at Warwick. Go West then made his handicap debut in a hot little Class 3 at Doncaster, but ran a screamer to lose out by just a nose to Jordans Cross, who boosted that form with another victory on Trials Day at Cheltenham.

Harry Cobden's mount never looked comfortable with his wide path around Kempton last month, and chucked the towel in down the back straight. Nicholls' horses often perform well around the track here at Musselburgh, and Go West remains on a workable mark.

PURE CARBON (3/1) failed to win over hurdles, but has shown significant improvement since stepping into the novice chasing ranks.

Harry Derham's seven-year-old went close on his chasing debut at Chepstow, before going one better at Huntingdon in November, justifying market support to claim a cosy victory Homme d'Un Soir. Paul O'Brien's mount was backed into favouritism again on his most recent outing at Ludlow, but almost tripped over a faller at the first, didn't jump the second well and then made a race-ending blunder at the third flight.

That early unship is easily forgiven, though, and Pure Carbon should be well suited by the conditions of this two-mile handicap. He's still ahead of the handicapper.

2:30pm Musselburgh - bet365 Handicap Hurdle Tips

THE G WIZARD (10/1) has shaped with plenty of promise in each of his three starts over hurdles, and could strike on his handicap debut.

Nick Alexander's six-year-old finished a five-length fourth behind the progressive Scorpio Rising on his hurdles debut at Perth, and kept on gamely to place second behind odds-on favourite Eagles Reprieve at Kelso in November. The G Wizard came to Musselburgh in December and was only beaten a length over this course-and-distance by favourite Judicial Deference - who has followed up with another win since.

Bruce Lynn's mount might have won that day if he hadn't ballooned the last, but I was still impressed with the way he rallied on the run to the line. On the form of those three novice hurdles, The G Wizard could be well-treated off this opening mark of 111, and he boasts some valuable experience around this track.

3:05pm Musselburgh - Edinburgh National Handicap Chase Tips

I'm going to give one last chance to TRANSMISSION (6/1), as Neil Mulholland's charge looks to take advantage of a tumbling handicap mark.

I was keen on Transmission's chances going into the National Hunt Chase at last year's Cheltenham Festival. Patrick Mullins, who has ridden Mulholland's nine-year-old to victory at Cheltenham earlier in the season, gave the joint-favourite far too much work to do from the rear, and Transmission could only stay on to finish an 11-length fifth behind impressive winner, Haiti Couleurs.

Conor O'Farrell's mount has barely featured in his three races so far this term, finishing out the back twice at Cheltenham and in the Silver Cup at Ascot. Those defeats have helped Transmission down to his last winning mark of 129 and Mulholland has fitted a first time visor to try and spark some life out of his nine-year-old.

3:40pm Musselburgh - Pertemps Qualifier Tips

HIGHLAND FASHION (16/1) has improved plenty since being stepped up to three miles, and Ian Duncan's seven-year-old offers value in this qualifier.

Callum Bewley produced Highland Fashion perfectly to strike on his three-mile debut at Newcastle. Duncan's charge tanked his way into contention at Ayr last time out, but a poor jump at the last allowed the classy Ikarak to open a two-length advantage, and Bewley's mount couldn't fight back on the run to the line.

Highland Fashion was due to run here from three pounds outside the handicap, but Duncan has called on five-pound claimer Charlie Maggs to swing the weights in his favour. With a strong pace all-but guaranteed, Highland Fashion could take another step forwards this afternoon.
