ITV Racing Tips on November 7th - Saturday's selections at Aintree and Doncaster

Saturday's ITV Racing coverage includes the 1:45pm Molyneux Hurdle at Aintree, where Alexei is tipped to win after a 31lb improvement last season. Alexei finished second in the Welsh Champion Hurdle, won both the Lavazza Handicap and the Greatwood, and ran well in the Champion Hurdle and Aintree Hurdle. With Harry Cobden deputising for the injured Brendan Powell, Alexei's proven Grade 2 form and recent performances suggest he is the one to beat in this competitive field.

The ITV Racing team will return to Aintree on Saturday, where two strong Grade Two contests headline another competitive card. Three races will also be shown live from the final major flat meeting of the season at Doncaster, where the Doncaster Handicap tops the billing.

Here are my best betting tips for Saturday's ITV races.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 7th November

1:15pm Aintree - Handicap Chase Tips

The bookies are taking no chances with Kadastral as Dan Skelton's six-year-old makes his chasing debut. I'd rather take the favourite on with an each-way contender, and BALLYBREEZE (14/1) is well treated on some of his best form.

Sam Drinkwater's ten-year-old has clearly been very hard to train but has shown flashes of ability when he's been on the track. Ballybreeze claimed back-to-back victories at Newbury and Chepstow in the spring of 2025 but couldn't replicate that sort of form in three starts last season. Ben Macey's claim leaves Ballybreeze carrying just 10-4 in this handicap, and the chase track at Aintree should be right up his street.

1:45pm Aintree - Molyneux Hurdle Tips

This Grade Two will serve up a mouth-watering clash between three hugely talented hurdlers. Mydaddypaddy has already been mentioned as a Champion Hurdle contender, and Mange Tout claimed Grade One honours here at Aintree on her final juvenile start.

Both have a bit of catching up to do with ALEXEI (6/5), who improved by 31 pounds during the course of last season. Joe Tizzard's star finished second in the Welsh Champion Hurdle before winning both the Lavazza Handicap and the Greatwood. He then went into the Champion Hurdle on the back of a Grade Two victory in the Kingwell at Wincanton.

Brendan Powell's mount ran a nice race to finish fourth at Cheltenham and went even closer here at Aintree, crossing the line four lengths behind Brighterdaysahead and The New Lion in the Aintree Hurdle. A reproduction of either of those performances would probably be enough to get the job done here, and Harry Cobden is a useful deputy for the injured Brendan Powell.

2:10pm Doncaster - Wentworth Stakes Tips

A massive field of 21 will contest this Listed race at Doncaster. I'd love to see COPACABANA SANDS (18/1) finally put her best foot forward for Andrew Balding, who could still claw his way back into the Champion Trainer title race.

Copacabana Sands was really impressive when winning a Group Three at Leopardstown last season, where she seemed to relish deeper ground. Balding's recruit has shaped well without really challenging on her two most recent starts, but I'm hopeful that the softer ground at Doncaster, combined with this drop back in trip, will help her reproduce her best form.

2:45pm Doncaster - Gillies Fillies' Stakes Tips

We've got another healthy field for this Listed contest, and the bookies are currently 5/1 the field. Ralph Beckett boasts a good record in this ten-furlong contest, and K SARRA (16/1) seems overpriced.

Following a tame effort in the Fred Darling, K Sarra shaped with much more promise when third to Legacy Link in the Musidora Stakes at York. Rossa Ryan's mount was then barely mentioned in the Oaks at Epsom, and the less said about her two most recent runs, the better.

The Musidora was the only time K Sarra has raced over ten furlongs, so dropping back down to this distance is a sensible move. Beckett's horses usually appreciate softer ground, and Rhys Clutterbuck has been among the winners in recent days.

3:00pm Aintree - Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle Tips

I rarely back anything at short prices in Pertemps Qualifiers, and LORD SNOOTIE (16/1) offers a good bit of value in this handicap hurdle. Christian Williams' charge finished second in a Grade Three handicap at the Grand National Festival in 2024, but ran just once the following season and needed a couple of outings last winter to get back into the swing of things.

From his four outings in the spring, Lord Snootie recorded three placed efforts, going close at Bangor in March before finishing second to Tranquil Sea in a valuable contest at Cartmel in May. David Noonan's mount remains on a decent mark and boasts valuable form around Aintree.

3:25pm Doncaster - November Handicap Tips

Since Ryan Moore was booked to ride Nobody Knows, Richard Hughes' three-year-old has been backed into a short price for the final big race of the 2026 Flat season. At the prices, I'd much rather side with Hughes' second string, CIRCUS OF ROME (16/1).

Circus Of Rome was fancied by many in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle, but lost his position coming around the bend and didn't see out the two-mile trip. Hughes' four-year-old wasn't seen again until the Ebor, where Jamie Spencer's mount was posted wide throughout and the gaps never really opened, leaving Circus Of Rome to cross the line a well-beaten 16th.

Finley Marsh's mount has run twice since then, going close over ten furlongs at Pontefract and again over this distance at Newcastle two weeks ago. Despite clocking RPRs in excess of 100 in both of those races, Circus Of Rome remains on an official mark of 94, and I fancy the conditions of the November Handicap will really suit this talented handicapper.

3:35pm Aintree - Handicap Chase Tips

Boombawn and Imperial Saint were due to meet in the Old Roan last month, and both hold obvious appeal in this lesser contest. The top weights will have to give weight to some dangerous rivals, including JOSH THE BOSS (15/2), who'll be getting a stone and a half from the market principals.

Nigel and Willie Twiston-Davies' seven-year-old took to chasing well during the first half of last season, finishing second to Go West on his chasing debut at Warwick before a runaway success at Doncaster in November. Josh The Boss was narrowly beaten by Prairie Wolf over this course and distance on Boxing Day and finished second again to that rival at Newcastle before his form tailed off in the spring.

Jamie Neild's favourite mount shaped well for much of his reappearance at Wetherby, but he just got a little tired late on as Parisencore set off for home. Josh The Boss does his best work during the opening months of a new season and is weighted to give the classier contenders a real scare.
