ITV Racing Tips on October 31st - Saturday's selections at Ascot, Wetherby and Down Royal
Saturday's ITV Racing showcases ten live races from Ascot, Wetherby and Down Royal, including the Charlie Hall Chase and the BetVictor Champion Chase. Dance And Glance is tipped to win the 1:25pm Ascot Novices' Limited Handicap Chase, based on a progressive hurdles campaign and a strong record after a break. Other selections include Koukeo (1:10pm Wetherby), La Conquiere (1:45pm Wetherby), Brookie (2:00pm Ascot), Handstands (2:55pm Wetherby), Queensbury Boy (2:33pm Ascot) and Fasol (3:43pm Ascot). No bet is advised for the 2:18pm West Yorkshire Hurdle and 3:30pm Wetherby Handicap Hurdle.

Saturday's Tips
Ten races will be shown live on ITV Racing on Saturday afternoon, before coverage recommences at the Breeders' Cup in the evening. Ascot and Wetherby will stage a range of valuable races between them, including the Charlie Hall Chase and the Regal Encore Premier Handicap Chase. ITV Racing will also be showing the Grade One BetVictor Champion Chase live from Down Royal.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 31st October
1:10pm Wetherby - bet365 Handicap Chase Tips
Palamon and Tanking Along hold obvious chances, but I'm happy to take them on with KOUKEO (13/2). Jonjo & AJ O'Neill's six-year-old finished fourth under top weight on his reappearance at Fontwell, where he seemed a little lost around that sharp figure-of-eight track before staying on well close to home.
Koukeo looked progressive during the first half of last season, winning at Windsor and Haydock before a fine effort in defeat on Trials Day at Musselburgh. Four defeats since then see Koukeo enter this contest off his last winning mark, and Team O'Neill have started this jumps season in excellent form.
1:25pm Ascot - Novices' Limited Handicap Chase Tips
Anthony Honeyball won this race back in 2020, and he'll be represented on Saturday by one of my 20 To Follow for the season, DANCE AND GLANCE (5/2).
Honeyball's six-year-old enjoyed another progressive campaign over hurdles last season, rising from 116 to 127 in the weights. Dance And Glance beat All In You at Ascot and hammered one of today's rivals, We're Red And Blue, at Haydock in April before rounding off his campaign with a narrow defeat in the Swinton Hurdle.
Dance And Glance can progress further over fences, and although he was beaten on his first start last term, his record on the back of a break is very good. Taurus Bay, Klub De Reve, Kadastral and Un Sens A La Vie will be winning races over fences this term, but I'm hopeful that Dance And Glance can strike a blow on his first outing over the larger obstacles.
1:45pm Wetherby - Montagu Mares' Hurdle Tips
This could be a big half an hour for my 20 To Follow, as LA CONQUIERE (10/3) makes her return in this Listed hurdle.
Jamie Snowden's mare claimed Listed honours at Newbury last season, beating some decent rivals with ease in a Mares' Novices' Hurdle. La Conquiere was let down a little by inexperience when second to Ooh Betty in the Warfield Mares' Hurdle at Ascot and didn't show much in either the Mares' Novices' Hurdle or the Top Novices' Hurdle at Aintree.
On Saturday, Gavin Sheehan's mount will come up against defending champion Kateira, who should be fit after a quiet spin around Chepstow three weeks ago. La Conquiere does go well left-handed, however, and could be better suited by this two-mile trip than the ageing market leader, who was even tried over three miles during the second half of last season.
2:00pm Ascot - Sodexo Live! Handicap Chase Tips
The in-form Anthony Honeyball has three decent chances in the following handicap chase too, one of which is BROOKIE (16/1), who began last season off a mark of 149 after going close in Grade One company at Aintree.
Brookie didn't run badly when third to Calico on his reappearance at Cheltenham. Things went pearshaped from then-on, as Honeyball's nine-year-old was pulled up here at Ascot, was beaten out of sight in the Champion Chase and the Red Run handicap, before falling on his final outing of the season in the Celebration Chase at Sandown.
Ben Godfrey's mount will make his return to action off a much reduced mark of 137 on Saturday, meaning he'll shoulder just 11-7 in this handicap. Brookie goes well fresh and has a good record going right-handed. If Honeyball has managed to get him back on track, then Brookie could be very well-handicapped.
2:18pm Wetherby - West Yorkshire Hurdle Tips
Strong Leader and Take No Chances fought out the finish of this race 12 months ago, and seem set on another showdown on Saturday. I don't fancy backing either of the co-favourites, so I'll be taking a watching brief.
2:55pm Wetherby - bet365 Charlie Hall Chase Tips
All eyes will be on Pic d'Orhy as the multiple Grade One winner makes his first start for Dan Skelton. Skelton's recruit was only beaten a length by Djelo in this race 12 months ago and went on to push Jonbon close around his beloved Ascot in February.
The youngest of the six runners in Saturday's feature at Wetherby is HANDSTANDS (7/2), who began last season with Gold Cup aspirations. Sadly, Ben Pauling's seven-year-old was beaten on his return in the Colin Parker and went on to suffer further defeats in the Betfair Chase and at Windsor before being pulled up in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival.
Pauling admitted during his stable tour that Handstands wasn't quite right throughout last season. Ben Jones' mount looked a real talent when winning the Scilly Isles during a breakthrough novice chasing campaign. Pauling hasn't started the season in particularly good form, but a win in the Charlie Hall has the potential to kick-start his campaign, and Handstands certainly has the quality to collect Grade Two honours.
2:33pm Ascot - Regal Encore Handicap Chase Tips
A trappy contest in which Califet En Vol, Your Darling and Henry's Friend hold appeal. In the end, I've come down on the side of QUEENSBURY BOY (15/2), in the hope that he can build on that Summer Plate success.
Mickey Bowen's seven-year-old wasn't particularly well fancied at Market Rasen, having flopped in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter. Queensbury Boy got into a lovely rhythm under James Bowen, who delivered his mount in the nick of time to pip favourite Kingston Narcissus to the post.
Good ground around a right-handed track clearly brought out the best in Queensbury Boy, who has been highly thought of by connections throughout his short career. Brendan Powell's mount will encounter similar conditions on Saturday, and I could see Queensbury Boy running well if he sees out this extended three-mile trip.

3:30pm Wetherby - bet365 Handicap Hurdle Tips
I was hoping to back Race To Base at a lengthy price at Aintree on Sunday, but the card fell foul to the weather. Nick Scholfield's charge is the 11/8 favourite here, and I'm in no rush to take that sort of price. I'll leave this race alone.
3:43pm Ascot - Lavazza Handicap Hurdle Tips
FASOL (14/1) ran a decent race when fifth behind Alexei in this contest 12 months ago, and Paul Nicholls' seven-year-old returns to Ascot off a decent mark. Sam Twiston-Davies' mount followed that effort with a novice hurdle win at Wincanton and an impressive victory in the Hogmaneigh Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh on New Year's Day.
Fasol spent much of the remainder of last season running over extended trips and shaped well for a long way on his return at Chepstow. This drop back to two miles should certainly suit, and Nicholls has fitted first-time blinkers for this assignment.
