Highlights include the Group One Sun Chariot Stakes where Blue Bolt leads a competitive field. Value betting tips are provided for each race, with strong each-way recommendations including longshots like Artemis Star (40/1) and Rlasthope (40/1). Notable fancies include Regional (15/2) in the Rous Stakes and Two Tribes (18/1) in the BetMGM Challenge Cup. With expert insights and under-the-radar selections, punters are tipped to find value across the card.
ITV Racing will be showing ten races live from three premier tracks on Saturday afternoon. The Group One feature comes up early at Newmarket, as Blue Bolt leads the field into the Sun Chariot Stakes at 1:35pm. The bulk of Saturday's action comes from Ascot, with Redcar chipping in with a couple of strong Pattern races.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 3rd October
1:00pm Newmarket - £200,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes Tips
This race hasn't been kind on the bookmakers in recent years, with eight of the last nine winners going off at 13/2 or shorter. We have, however, seen plenty of outsiders find their way into the places, so while Night In Vegas is hard to oppose, I'll chance my arm with ARTEMIS STAR (40/1).
William Muir and Chris Grassick's colt is yet to win, but he has improved with each of his three novice starts. Artemis Star finished fifth on debut over six furlongs before a third-place effort over seven and a half at Ffos Las, where he was passed late on by the market leaders.
Marco Ghiani's mount attempted to make all again on his most recent outing at Epsom but was passed late on by well-backed favourite Summer Triangle. I like backing horses who race prominently in races like this, especially on the Rowley Mile. If Artemis Star were to snatch a bit of place money, I'd be delighted.
1:15pm Ascot - October Stakes Tips
So Regal dominates the market for this low-quality Listed race. I'd rather take a punt on AMERICAN GAL (33/1) at a lengthy price.
A Listed winner during her time with Ed Walker, American Gal lost her way last season following an ambitious tilt at the Prix de Diane. Walker's filly struggled on her first four starts of this season too and was moved to Ralph Beckett's yard ahead of the Sceptre Fillies' Stakes at Doncaster.
Lewis Edmunds' mount was held up at the rear but caught the eye with a powerful mid-race burst before her effort flattened out late on. I thought American Gal ran better than the result would suggest at Doncaster and could outrun her odds again this weekend.
Having twice placed in the King Charles III Stakes over this course and distance, REGIONAL (15/2) could claim a deserved victory in this Listed contest at Ascot.
Ed Bethell's stalwart has suffered plenty of setbacks since his Sprint Cup triumph in 2023. Regional only ran three times in 2024, suffered an injury in the 2025 Beverley Bullet and has only managed to place once in three starts this term.
Clifford Lee's mount did run very well in the Garrowby Stakes last time out, hitting the front with a furlong to travel before being run down late on. Five furlongs on a stiff track like Ascot should be ideal for Regional, and he looks to have landed a favourable draw on the low side of the straight.
2:10pm Newmarket - HKJC World Pool Handicap Tips
With a fast pace likely to be set by Evanesco and Blue Hercules, PRIMO LARA (4/1) looks to have a great chance in this 12-furlong handicap.
After a spell with Jack Morland, Primo Lara has won two of his four starts since returning to Jane Chapple-Hyam. Saffie Osborne was in the saddle for an impressive win under 10-1 at Ascot before Billy Loughnane guided Chapple-Hyam's gelding to a hard-earned success at Kempton.
Primo Lara could only finish fourth when heavily backed at the Ebor Festival and was beaten four lengths at Newbury two weeks ago. However, this drop back down in trip will suit this keen-going sort, as will the fast ground on the Rowley Mile this weekend.
2:25pm Ascot - Cumberland Lodge Stakes Tips
No strong opinion here. I'll give this one a miss.

3:00pm Ascot - Bengough Stakes Tips
High-quality handicappers often fare well in the Bengough, which gives me hope that COMPLETELY RANDOM (25/1) will outrun his price.
Harry Charlton's star has gone agonisingly close in two lucrative six-furlong handicaps this term. Completely Random flew home from the rear to get within a head of Double Rush in the Wokingham before his late rattle came up half a length short of Evening Saigon in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood.
Completely Random handles this track extremely well, and Edmunds will be able to take aim at the front-running Into The Sky, who has also been drawn down the centre of the track. Charlton's closer will need some luck in running, but this looks to be an excellent opportunity for Completely Random to challenge at Group level.
3:20pm Redcar - Two Year Old Trophy Tips
Satellite Of Love looks to have an excellent chance in the seasonal feature at Redcar. At a much bigger price, RLASTHOPE (40/1) appeals in the each-way market.
Tony Coyle and Kaine Wood's gelding did some good work earlier in the season, losing out narrowly to Adonius at Musselburgh before a third-place finish in the Woodcote at Epsom. Rlasthope opened his account with an emphatic maiden win at Southwell in July, thrashing future Doncaster winner Beresford Gap by two lengths before placing seventh in the valuable nursery handicap during the Ebor Festival, where he was lumbered with a tricky wide draw.
Tom Eaves' mount is drawn wide here too, but most of the pace seems to be on the high side of the track. Cheekpieces go on for the first time and, as one of the cheaper horses in the line-up, Rlasthope will be getting weight from most of his rivals.
3:35pm Ascot - BetMGM Challenge Cup Tips
Thunder Call is a solid favourite for this valuable seven-furlong handicap. William Haggas' rising star does, however, come up against two Royal Ascot winners in Mezcala and Moonfall. Pellitory is out again after his Ayr Gold Cup triumph, and Hickory can never be ruled out at this venue.
TWO TRIBES (18/1) looks overpriced to me, based on his two course and distance runs this season. Richard Spencer's former Stewards' Cup winner finished a clear second to Amazing Journey in the International Handicap - a race he won last season - and was only beaten three lengths behind Thunder Call when they met here at the start of last month.
Thunder Call was getting a stone from Two Tribes that day. Toby Moore has been booked to take the ride, and his seven-pound claim results in an 18-pound swing between the two at the weights. Two Tribes has been drawn between the two likely pacesetters on the low side of the track. If that run in the Ayr Gold Cup - where he clearly didn't like the ground - hasn't affected him too badly, then Two Tribes looks to have a great chance.
3:55pm Redcar - Guisborough Stakes Tips
Witness Stand is a solid favourite for our final ITV race on Saturday. Dr Richard Newland's five-year-old is proven at a much higher level than this. Yet Audience and Myal will look to pester the front-running favourite early on, and a real test of stamina would suit the hardy ELARAK (11/2).
Charlie Hills' gelding has been running respectably well all season. Elarak was beaten a neck by Mezcala at Royal Ascot, less than a length by Aalto in the Bunbury Cup and relegated to second by favourite Prince Of India in the six-furlong Hopeful Stakes at Newmarket.
Catullus outclassed his rivals in the Free Cup Stakes at Newbury two weeks ago, where Elarak stayed on well to finish third. A stiff seven furlongs is exactly what this strong-staying four-year-old wants, and he could benefit if the strong early pace takes its toll.
