12 of my 20 To Follow for this National Hunt season have won at least once, and I'm hoping IDY WOOD (9/4) will become my eighth two-time winner this afternoon.
Jamie Snowden's seven-year-old made a winning reappearance over fences at Kempton in October, holding off two future winners from the front. Idy Wood was then outpaced over the minimum distance at Newbury, but went close over two-and-a-half miles at Doncaster on his third start, before labouring on heavy ground at Chepstow in January.
Idy Wood has done all of his winning on good ground having been off the track for at least 50 days. The top-weight has to give four pounds to a dangerous chasing debutante of Dan Skelton's, but I fancy Idy Wood will be up for the task at hand.
