Michael Mizrachi Wins 2025 WSOP Main Event, Inducted Into Poker Hall of Fame

Michael Mizrachi has officially joined the ranks of poker legends after winning the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and receiving immediate induction into the Poker Hall of Fame. 

Already a seven-time bracelet winner and four-time Poker Players Championship (PPC) champion, Mizrachi solidified his place in poker history with a commanding performance in the Main Event.

The 2025 WSOP Main Event concluded in just 79 hands, 20 of which were played on the final day. Mizrachi defeated John Wasnock heads-up to secure the $10,000,000 top prize, the diamond-studded Main Event bracelet, and his name etched permanently on the Horseshoe Event Center banner.

The final hand saw Mizrachi hold ten-three of clubs for a turned flush against Wasnock’s two pairs. “It was a crazy hand. I think, after all these days,” Mizrachi said after the match. “I couldn’t even see the cards. I thought he had the ace of clubs, then I thought he was drawing dead. And then they said, no, no, he has two pairs. I didn’t even realize that.”

He added, “I thought he was drawing dead. I thought maybe he just had a nine. I was just blacked out at that point. I knew I was winning.”

Mizrachi’s immediate induction into the Poker Hall of Fame followed his Main Event win and his spectacular fourth Poker Player Championship (PPC) title earlier in the series. 

The final four players—Mizrachi, Wasnock, Braxton Dunaway, and Kenny Hallaert—resumed play with Mizrachi holding 445,500,000 chips.

Hallaert was eliminated first after his ace-queen lost to Mizrachi’s king-jack. Dunaway followed when his ten-six was dominated by Mizrachi’s ace-ten, giving Mizrachi a nut flush. Heads-up against Wasnock, Mizrachi maintained control, winning key pots before sealing the victory.

The 79-hand final table shattered the previous record of 164 hands set in 2023. Reflecting on the win, Mizrachi said, “I told you an hour. I knew I was destined to win when I had two blinds, the ace on the river yesterday. Just felt like, after I have 75 percent of the chips today, there was no way.”
