Stake Poker has listed the Centurion Series - 2nd Chance NL Hold’em tournament starting June 6. The 8-max event features a 100 buy-in, 20,000 starting stack, 12-minute levels, and a 50,000 dollars guaranteed prize pool with up to 9 re-entries.

Stake Poker is offering the 2nd Chance tournament. The No-Limit Hold’em event features an 8-max table format and is scheduled to begin on June 6.

Registration for the tournament opens on June 6 at 10:30 PM, providing players with an opportunity to compete for a share of a guaranteed $50,000 prize pool.

The tournament features a direct buy-in of 100, and ticket entry options are also available for players looking to secure a seat. Participants will receive a starting stack of 20,000 chips, with blind levels lasting 12 minutes.

This specific combination of starting chips and blind durations establishes a relatively playable low-to-mid speed structure, distinguishing it from fast-paced hyper-turbo formats.

Late registration remains open for 2 hours after the tournament begins. During this period, players are permitted a maximum of 9 re-entries per person, with each re-entry buy-in priced at 100. There are no rebuys or add-ons available for this event.

Event Field and Table Settings

The Centurion Series - 2nd Chance requires a minimum of 6 players to run, with a maximum capacity capped at 10,000 players.

The 8-max table format is expected to increase aggression frequency among participants compared to standard 9-max fields. However, once the tournament reaches its final stage, the final table will transition to a 9-player layout.

The "2nd Chance" branding typically attracts recreational re-entry traffic and leads to wider hand ranges.

Due to the 2-hour late registration window and the allowance of up to 9 re-entries, the field will likely be splashy and volatile during the early levels. Additionally, if the tournament experiences a weak turnout, the $50,000 guarantee presents a possibility of an overlay for the participating field.
