The Brisbane Lions are favored to defeat the Richmond Tigers in their upcoming clash, with both teams battling significant injuries. Brisbane, fresh off a momentum-building win against the Gold Coast, will rely on key players Lachie Neale and Charlie Cameron to shine. Richmond, coming off a heavy loss to Sydney, are looking to bounce back via efforts from midfielders Jacob Hopper and Jayden Short. Key stats highlight Neale's and Cameron's past dominance over the Tigers, while prop bets for disposals and goals offer attractive value for both sides.

Richmond Tigers vs Brisbane Lions Verdict

Booth sides have hefty injury lists but the key men lining up is where the value lies in this game. Brisbane should be too good and Lachie Neale and Charlie Cameron are backed in the player props markets for the Lions.

Jacob Hopper and Jayden Short should continue to accumulate possessions for the Tigers and are also tipped.

  • Lachie Neale had 42 disposals in his most recent match against Richmond
  • Charlie Cameron has booted 17 goals in his past six matches against the Lions
  • Jayden Short is averaging 25 disposals this season
  • Jacob Hopper reached the 30+ disposals the last time he played Brisbane

Head to Head Stats

Brisbane have won the past four between the two sides and it was a 28-point margin the last time the two sides met, which was way back in Round 4 last season.

Richmond Tigers Form - Tigers Given Reality Check

Richmond have won two matches this season with both of those coming in their last five matches - an 11 point win over West Coast in Round 8 as well as an 18-point triumph against Essendon in Round 11.

However, they were given a brutal reality check by Sydney in their most recent outing, going down by 114 at the SCG and have the bye since then to lick their wounds.

The Tigers continue to show strong effort through their younger players but are struggling to maintain intensity and execution across four quarters against quality opposition.

Their injury-hit list has forced inexperienced players into major roles and they have often been overrun late in games.

Opportunities up forward have been limited with Richmond averaging just 66 points per game in 2026. Seth Campbell and Steely Green lead the goalkicking tally with 12 majors from as many matches. Jayden Short is Richmond’s leading disposals winner, going at a tick under 25 per game.

Brisbane Lions Form - Lions Bounce Back

Brisbane bounced back last weekend with a 31-point win over the Gold Coast Suns, snapping a three match losing streak that saw them suffer losses to Fremantle, Geelong and GWS.

They closed off well against the ladder leaders, Fremantle, a fortnight ago by kicking four of the last five goals and had the same amount of scoring shots in that match 10.18 to 15.13 scoreline, before bringing that momentum to the Suns match

Logan Morris responded to a quiet run with seven goals, while Lachie Neale continued his solid season with 37 disposals. Neale has had 30+ in six of his past nine, while rebounding halfback, Darcy Wilmot, has had 25+ in his past four. Brisbane enter the Round 14 clash with a win-loss record of 7-6
