Flat racing fans have a handful of excellent handicaps to sink their teeth into on Wednesday, as well as a couple of competitive Pattern races. Here are our best betting tips for the full card on day two of Glorious Goodwood.

Glorious Goodwood Day 2 Tips

1:50pm Goodwood - Shaker Handicap Tips

It's been a few years since William Haggas last won the Shaker Handicap, but he looks to have a leading chance this year with the talented INFRAAD (7/2).

Once raced as a juvenile, Infraad finished behind Bay Royale and Hatteen on his reappearance at Nottingham in April, before making all under Tom Marquand to open his account at Pontefract later that month. Infraad then made his handicap debut at Chester on the back of a short absence, but could only finish third despite going off as the 8/13 favourite.

The favourite was surprisingly slow out of the stalls that day, and found little room to manoeuvre along the rail. Infraad responded to pressure well, and kept on gamely in the closing stages to finish just a length behind King's Code. I'm sure this son of Ghaiyyath will have benefited greatly from the experience gained against hardened handicappers that day, and Infraad seems ready for this step up to a mile and a half.

2:25pm Goodwood - Alice Keppel Fillies' Conditions Stakes Tips

Given this race has produced several Group One-placed sprinters in recent years, I'm not surprised to see that it's been moved to a more prominent slot on the day two schedule. WILD BLOSSOM (7/4) tops the betting, and Karl Burke's filly looks a good bet to be the fourth winning favourite in the last six years.

Wild Blossom looked like an outstanding prospect when winning on debut at Carlisle, and went into the Queen Mary as a fancied 7/1 shot. James Doyle's mount broke and travelled well, but drifted a little to the right when she came under pressure, which opened the door for Victorious and Senorita Bonito to take command on the far side, and Wild Blossom wasn't given a hard time after that.

Burke's filly clearly benefited from grabbing the rail at Carlisle, so I wouldn't be surprised if James Doyle tracked over to the inside rail from his draw in stall two. Doyle might not need to, if Wild Blossom has improved mentally for that outing at Royal Ascot. She looks to be the best horse in this Conditions Stakes.

3:00pm Goodwood - Oak Tree Stakes Tips

2023 Alice Keppel winner Flora Of Bermuda tops the market for this Group Three. Andrew Balding's filly brings Group One form into this contest, and faces a field made up mainly of consistent handicappers. Yet, the favourite will carry a penalty for her victory in the Summer Stakes, and has never raced over this seven-furlong trip before.

An abundance of potential front-runners could set this race up for a strong closer, and DASH OF AZURE (9/1) fits the bill. Ralph Beckett's filly was poor on her first two starts of the season, but heads to Goodwood on the back of two narrow defeats in Listed races at Chester.

Dash Of Azure burrowed her way into contention along the inside in the Queen Charlotte Fillies' Stakes, only for Bellarchi to fly home down the outside and continue her excellent form. Eddie Greatrex chose the wide route in the City Plate Stakes last time out, only for former Jersey Stakes winner Northern Champion to thunder home down the inside and beat Beckett's filly by a neck.

Being drawn wide in stall 14 shouldn't matter too much, as Dash Of Azure likes to slot in behind the pace anyway. Hector Crouch will need some luck in running to make his late challenge, but based on her last two performances, Dash Of Azure is certainly good enough to challenge.

3:35pm Goodwood - Molecomb Stakes Tips

Since establishing his base in Ireland, Brazilian trainer Diego Dias has had three winners in the UK. All three were juvenile sprinters, and all three won here at Goodwood, so the aptly named BRAZILIAN DIVA (14/1) looks a solid each-way bet.

Dias' filly was tried over six furlongs earlier in the season, finishing down the field at Fairyhouse and in Group Three company at the Curragh. Brazilian Diva then relished the drop back to five furlongs when bolting up in a maiden at Naas, and carried that form into Listed company last time out, losing out narrowly to favourite Carry The Flag in the Tipperary Stakes.

The third from that Listed race has won a maiden since then, and the fourth, Big Negotiator, scored in the Listed Marwell Stakes back at Naas. Given his record around this track, I wouldn't be surprised if Dias has been training Brazilian Diva for Glorious Goodwood. She seems to be hitting peak form at the perfect time.

5:00pm Goodwood - Charlton Handicap Tips

A capacity field of 28 has been declared for the inaugural running of this six-furlong handicap. Most of the pace seems to have been drawn on the high side of the track, so I'll take a gamble on ARDIUS INVICTA (40/1) at a huge price.

Craig Lister's filly won at Beverley and Musselburgh during a busy juvenile campaign, and was tried at Listed level in the autumn. Ardius Invicta wasn't beaten far on her first couple of starts in competitive three-year-old handicaps at Chester and York, before following the progressive Mighty Magnus home on her return to Musselburgh in June.

Again, Tom Eaves' mount ran well when last seen at York, where she finished fourth having been caught behind traffic when the pace picked up. Ardius Invicta has seen out six furlongs well on a couple of occasions, and her performances this season suggest she's more than capable of challenging in this sort of contest.

5:40pm Goodwood - HKJC World Pool Handicap Tips

CRIMSON SPIRIT (8/1) scored over this course-and-distance three starts back, and the booking of Ryan Moore suggests that connections mean business.

Daniel and Claire Kubler's gelding won nicely here in April, and followed up with a decent fourth at the Epsom Derby Festival. Crimson Spirit then carried 10-2 into a handicap on the July Course and ran a blinder under Billy Loughnane, losing out narrowly to Secret History, who was carrying over a stone less than the runner-up.

The Kublers are excellent at targeting handicaps with in-form runners, and Moore should be able to ride the race as he likes from stall 10. Crimson Spirit must have a great chance.
