Saturday's ITV racing offers an exhilarating lineup for enthusiasts, featuring key races across Kempton, Newcastle, and Fairyhouse with three Grade Two events at Kempton. Notably, Grenadier Jed is poised for success in the 1:10pm Handicap Hurdle at Kempton, the track likely to suit his style. The day is packed with potential betting opportunities, such as Lexington Wood's debut in hurdles in the 3:00pm Dovecote Novices' Hurdle, offering an intriguing proposition based on solid past form in bumpers.
ITV Racing fans have got a feast of action to enjoy on Saturday afternoon. The bulk of our televised action comes from Kempton, where three Grade Twos feature on the card. Viewers will also take in the Eider Chase from Newcastle, and the Bobbyjo Chase live from Fairyhouse.
GRENADIER JED (6/1) racked up a hat-trick as soon as he went handicapping, scoring twice at Taunton last February and again on his reappearance at Fontwell in November.
Robert Walford's charge was the favourite for a valuable contest at Plumpton in December, but fell at the mid-way point. Harry Kimber then rode his mount a little conservatively on his latest start at Chepstow, and Grenadier Jed lost out by a head to gallant 13-year-old West To The Bridge.
Walford's six-year-old had to make up a lot of ground that day from the rear, whereas West To The Bridge got an easy time of things on the lead throughout. I feel like there's still more to come from Grenadier Jed, and the track here at Kempton should suit.
1:45pm Kempton - Adonis Juvenile Hurdle Tips
Precious Man had plenty left up his sleeve when striking over this course-and-distance last month, and Dan Skelton's youngster will take plenty of beating. 4/5 isn't my sort of price though, and there's no scope for an each-way punt. No bet for me.
2:25pm Kempton - Pendil Novices' Chase Tips
Go West loves getting his own way out in front, but Jasmine Bliss is a confirmed front runner too, and a sustained duel between the likely leaders would set this up perfectly for Jax Junior. Again, the favourite isn't available at a backable price, so I'll be taking a watching brief.
2:43pm Newcastle - Eider Handicap Chase Tips
Mr Vango's presence means all of the remaining nine runners will be carrying 10-4 or less. Defending champion Knockanore is running from ten pounds outside of the handicap. LIVIN ON LUCO (7/1) will carry the same weight as Knockanore, despite sitting ten pounds higher than him in the ratings.
Philip Hobbs and Johnson White's eight-year-old returned to action with a fine victory at Fontwell over Neo King - who has boosted that form considerably since. Livin On Luco then took his chance in the Welsh Grand National, where Callum Pritchard's mount ran a creditable race back in fourth, crossing the line nine lengths clear of one of Saturday's rivals, Dom Of Mary.
Livin On Luco likes decent ground, stays well and all of his wins have come going left-handed. This test should be ideal.

3:00pm Kempton - Dovecote Novices' Hurdle Tips
The third Grade Two on Kempton's card is, thankfully, an appealing betting heat. Nicky Henderson has decided to run his four-year-old Mustang Du Bresil here, rather than the Adonis, and the hot-pace that's sure to be set by the likes of Klub De Reve, Matiwo and Desertmore News will suit James Bowen's mount.
Olly Murphy has taken the bold step of throwing his recruit, LEXINGTON WOOD (14/1) straight into Grade Two company on his hurdles debut. This son of No Risk At All ran in three bumpers for Phil Fenton in 2025, finishing fourth behind some decent rivals at Punchestown in June, before a narrow defeat at Down Royal to Ballyfad - who was only beaten a head by Talk The Talk in the Grade One at the Dublin Racing Festival, and will spearhead Gordon Elliott's assault in the Turners' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Murphy and owner, Adrian Butler splashed out £105k to purchase Lexington Wood at the Cheltenham sales in November, and they've had plenty of time to get a run into him since. Presumably, Lexington Wood is working well enough at home to justify this Grade Two entry, and that Irish bumper form would give him a good chance.
3:15pm Fairyhouse - Bobbyjo Chase Tips
There should be Grand National clues aplenty in Saturday's feature at Fairyhouse. I'll take a chance on an old favourite of mine STELLAR STORY (12/1) - who I've put up as an outside punt for the Gold Cup, but the fact that he runs here suggests that Gordon Ellliott is eyeing Aintree rather than Cheltenham.
The 2024 Albert Bartlett winner performed well during his first season over fences, winning the Florida Pearl around Punchestown before a runner-up finish to Lecky Watson in the Brown Advisory. Elliott's charge couldn't really get into the Betfair Chase at Haydock, and struggled for speed in the Savills Chase over Christmas.
Soft ground is key to Stellar Story's prospects, so the going at Fairyhouse should be ideal. Elliott's star won a bumper at this venue, and his overall record going right-handed is strong.
Rian Corcoran has been amongst the winners of late, and Keiran Burke has grabbed this excellent seven-pound claimer to ride SOUL ICON (12/1) in Saturday's feature.
Burke's nine-year-old made the most of a low weight to beat Edwardstone in the 2024 Wayward Lad here at Kempton. Despite no previous form over three miles, Soul Icon was backed into favouritism for the Badger Beers on his seasonal reappearance, but didn't jump well at the rear of the field and fell three fences from the finish.
Soul Icon then ran a huge race under 12-00 over this course-and-distance in January, staying on to finish a two-length fourth behind The Doyen Chief. Burke has campaigned his stable star lightly this term, presumably because he had a big handicap lined up. Corcoran's claim reduces Soul Icon's weight down to just 10-13. He appeals greatly to me in the each-way market.
