The 2026 World Series of Poker reached its two-week mark on June 8, delivering the busiest day of the series so far. A total of nine events took place simultaneously inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
The action-packed day concluded with three tournaments awarding coveted gold bracelets, while another three events progressed down to their final days as some of the most prominent names in the game positioned themselves for a shot at poker hardware.
Day 14 saw two players capture their very first career bracelets, while an established international high-stakes star added a fourth piece of hardware to his growing collection.
Christopher Alcindor became a World Series of Poker champion by capturing the title in Event #22: $1,500 Big O.
Alcindor outlasted a massive field of 2,150 entrants to secure the top prize of $387,110 along with the gold bracelet. The Canadian player already possessed two WSOP Circuit rings, and this victory marks his breakthrough on the primary summer stage.
In Event #25: $500 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em, 21-year-old Brayden Lou emerged victorious from a field of 4,100 entries to claim the first-place prize of $190,066.
Lou had recently graduated from Gordon College and was traveling back to San Diego when he and his father made a spontaneous decision to stop at the tournament series, resulting in a career-defining victory.
Meanwhile, Russian high-stakes professional Artur Martirosian extended his legacy by winning Event #24: $25,000 High Roller Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em. Martirosian navigated through a field of 241 elite players to secure a massive $1,286,285 payout.
With this win, Martirosian earned his fourth career bracelet and further cemented his position at the top of Russia's all-time money list.
One of the major storylines heading into the next 24 hours centers on Jake Schwartz in Event #27: $10,000 Dealer's Choice Championship. Schwartz holds more than 200 career cashes and over two dozen final table appearances at the tournament series, yet a victory has eluded him throughout his career.
Schwartz enters the final day as the chip leader with only 11 players remaining in contention. He holds the pole position just ahead of Chad Eveslage, setting up a competitive final stretch for the championship title.
Several other major tournaments advanced through critical stages on Day 14, setting up massive prize opportunities.
In Event #18: $1,500 Monster Stack, the competitive field was narrowed down during Day 3. The day began with 660 hopefuls and concluded with 80 players remaining.
The deep-stacked structure has allowed elite professionals to navigate their way to the top as they chase the first-place prize of $1,302,125.
Event #26: $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em wrapped up its second day of play with just 12 players remaining from the field. Erwann Pecheux of France holds the chip lead with ,460,000 in chips heading into the final day.
Pecheux has come close to winning a title before, notably finishing as the runner-up in the 2015 edition of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Mix Max.
Event #28: $600 Deepstack Mixed No-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha drew a huge crowd of 3,332 entrants. By the end of opening play, only 132 players managed to secure a bag for Day 2. Despite the lower buy-in tier, dozens of well-known household names remain in the mix.
The elite crowd gathered for Event #29: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em, which attracted 104 entries on Day 1.
More than half of the field was eliminated before the end of the night, leaving 41 survivors. Brandon Wilson bagged the top stack of 2,025,000 to claim the chip lead heading into Day 2.
Finally, Event #30: $1,500 Limit Hold'em 7-Handed kicked off with 510 entrants. The field was trimmed down to 105 players by the end of Day 1.
Highlighting the top of the chip counts is fixed-limit specialist Ronnie Bardah, who finished the night second in chips.
