Day 16 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) delivered high-stakes drama, multiple bracelet crowns, and elite fields narrowing down in championship events. The day was highlighted by massive payouts, milestone victories, and a star-studded field in the latest high-roller flight.
Event #18: $1,500 Monster Stack officially concluded after the final players wrapped up their paths to the title. Richard Alsup emerged as the last player standing, securing the second WSOP bracelet of his career. Along with the coveted gold jewelry, Alsup earned a new personal-highest haul worth $1,302,125.
Santhosh Suvarna demonstrated his high-roller prowess once again by capturing the gold in Event #29: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. This victory marks Suvarna's third career WSOP bracelet, with all three titles coming in events commanding massive buy-ins. Suvarna's high-stakes championship timeline includes:

Germany's Dennis Weiss became a WSOP champion for the third time after coming out on top in Event #30: $1,500 Limit Hold'em 7-Handed.
Weiss, who primarily plays Pot-Limit Omaha, told PokerNews that he has only recently dipped his toes into mixed games.
