Stake Poker has announced the Centurion Series 2nd Chance No-Limit Hold’em tournament on June 6. The 8-max event features a $100 buy-in, a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool, 12-minute blind levels, and a 9 re-entry maximum per player.

Stake Poker has officially announced the upcoming Centurion Series 2nd Chance tournament, a No-Limit Hold’em event scheduled to take place on June 6.

Featuring an 8-max table format, the tournament offers a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000 for a buy-in of $100. Players looking to secure their seat can do so through direct buy-in or via available ticket entry.

Registration for the event is scheduled to open on June 6 at 10:30 PM. To begin action, this Stake Poker tournament requires a minimum of 6 players, with the maximum field capacity capped at 10,000 entrants.

Each participant will receive a starting stack of 20,000 chips. The blind levels are set to last 12 minutes each, creating a low-to-mid speed structure that contrasts with traditional hyper-turbo formats.

Late registration will remain open for 2 hours after the tournament begins. During this period, players are permitted a maximum of 9 re-entries, with each re-entry priced at $100. There are no rebuys or add-ons available for this event.

Field Dynamics

The combination of a 2-hour late registration window and up to 9 allowed re-entries per player typically creates a volatile and splashy environment during the early stages.

The "2nd Chance" designation also traditionally attracts recreational re-entry traffic and leads to wider hand ranges.

With an 8-max table format, players can expect a higher frequency of aggression compared to standard 9-max games. The action will transition to a 9-player format once the final table is reached.
