2026 Park Hill Stakes Tips - Sir Mark's Group One winner the best bet at Doncaster
The 2026 Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster launches St Leger Festival’s opening day with a high-class field of fillies and mares. Top contenders include previous Group winners like Waardah and Danielle, but Consent is tipped as the value bet due to her proven ability on testing ground and her recent Group One success. Improving weather conditions are expected, which should help ground-dependent runners. The article recommends watching Consent, especially as she sports cheekpieces for the first time, with a live stream available for viewers.

2026 Park Hill Stakes Runners
2025 Lillie Langtry Stakes winner Waardah tops the betting for this year's Park Hill, having been narrowly beaten by Goodie Two Shoes in the same contest last month. Danielle finished a close second to Waardah at Goodwood last year, and has since won two of her five starts, including a nine-length romp in the Gillies' Fillies Stakes here at Doncaster last November.
Consent finished a neck behind Santorini Star in this race 12 months ago, before going on to beat that rival in the Group One Prix de Royallieu during the Arc meeting at Longchamp. Simon and Ed Crisford will be represented by Dubai Gold Cup winner Fairy Glen, with Listed winner Prizeland running for Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy.
Three Irish raiders feature in the final field, including Lingfield Oaks Trial winner Cameo for Aidan O'Brien. Joseph O'Brien saddles former Group One-placed Nyra, while Group Three winner Floresta represents Johnny Murtagh. David O'Meara's Ryka is the rank outsider of the party.
2026 Park Hill Stakes Tips
Despite the deluge of rain that's battered the country over the last week or so, the forecast for St Leger week is looking fairly promising. There's little rain due from Wednesday onwards, so conditions at Doncaster should get quicker as we move through the meeting.
The fillies and mares who prefer soft ground should still be happy with Thursday's going, however, and such conditions would suit CONSENT (5/1). As the only Group One winner in the field, Sir Mark Prescott's filly represents good value at her current price.
Consent ran in this race last season on just her second start outside novice company, producing a cracking effort to lose out to Santorini Star by just a neck. She then made the most of her three-year-old allowance in the Prix de Royallieu, where Luke Morris guided his mount past Santorini Star at the furlong pole before stretching four lengths clear on the run to the line.
Prescott's four-year-old was virtually tailed off on her return to action in the Group One Prix Vicomtesse Vigier in May, and wasn't seen again until the Lillie Langtry Stakes. The fast ground at Goodwood wouldn't have been to Consent's liking, but she still performed well for much of the contest before fading back to fourth in the closing stages.
I'm sure Consent will have improved physically for that outing at Goodwood, and she returns to Doncaster with Sir Mark Prescott's horses in flying form. Morris' mount will wear cheekpieces for the first time on Thursday too, and she should go very close if the headgear has the desired effect.
