Warrington Wolves vs Hull KR, Super League Playoffs 2026 – Expert Prediction
Hull KR +6.5 is our best bet for Saturday's playoff eliminator, with the reigning champions expected to be much stronger than their recent results suggest after resting a host of first-team players ahead of the finals.

- Hull KR Form Analysis
Warrington have earned favouritism after beating Hull KR in both Super League meetings this season, including a 34-28 victory in East Yorkshire just a month ago. The Wolves have also won four of their last six and enter the playoffs following a 26-14 victory over Toulouse.
However, Hull KR's recent form requires some context. Their 36-12 loss to St Helens came with Willie Peters resting the majority of his senior players and handing six players their first-team debuts. Mikey Lewis was one of the few established stars involved, returning from suspension and captaining the side as Peters prepared his squad for this knockout game.
That makes the +6.5 start for Hull KR particularly interesting. Warrington have won the previous two league meetings, but the most recent was decided by only six points, while Rovers beat the Wolves when the sides met in the Challenge Cup semi-final earlier this year.
George Williams' return has undoubtedly strengthened Warrington, but a refreshed KR side should make this a completely different proposition to the one that lost heavily at St Helens. This has the ingredients of a much tighter playoff game than Hull KR's recent scores might suggest.

Warrington Wolves Form Analysis
Warrington's late-season improvement gives them a genuine opportunity to make a run in the playoffs. They have beaten York, Hull KR, Huddersfield and Toulouse across their last six, with their only defeats coming away to Hull FC and Wakefield.
The return of George Williams is particularly important. He gives Warrington far more control and creativity with the ball, and their recent win over KR showed they can find enough points against the defending champions.
The question is whether they can create enough separation to cover 6.5 points. Four of Warrington's last six games have been decided by 10 points or fewer, including that six-point victory over KR.
Hull KR Form Analysis
Hull KR's last six results look ugly on paper, with four defeats including heavy losses against Wigan and St Helens, but their preparation for the playoffs has clearly influenced some of those performances.
The Round 27 defeat at St Helens is the obvious example. Peters rested most of his established players, selected six debutants and used the game to give Lewis minutes following his two-match suspension.
Lewis being handed the captaincy was also notable. Former Hull KR player Paul Cooke described the decision as a "genius" move and felt the responsibility brought greater calmness to the half-back's game ahead of the playoffs.
KR should therefore arrive at Warrington considerably stronger and fresher than their recent results indicate. With their season on the line, getting more than a converted try on the handicap looks valuable.
Verdict
Hull KR +6.5 is the preferred bet. Warrington deserve respect after beating Rovers twice in the league this season, but a refreshed KR side should make this another tight contest and can stay inside the handicap.
