Gauff Looks To Extend Her Beijing Dominance
Coco Gauff posted strong results during the recently concluded North American swing, reaching the semifinals in Toronto and at the US Open while winning the title in Cincinnati. She will look to carry that impressive form into the Asian swing this week.
The American made a strong start to the season by reaching the final in Miami, the semifinals in Doha and the quarterfinals at the Australian Open. However, she failed to replicate her results from last year’s clay swing in the following months, although she made up for those lost points with steady performances later in the season.
She has played eight WTA 1000-level events this year and reached at least the semifinals in five of them, highlighting her strong performances at this level. She will look for another deep run this week.
The 22-year-old also has an excellent record in Beijing. She has played here three times before and reached at least the semifinals on each occasion, including winning the title in 2024.

Osorio Ends Losing Streak With Beijing Victory
Camila Osorio defeated Lanlana Tararudee in straight sets to reach the second round in Beijing, winning 6-3, 6-3. She trailed by an early break in both sets but quickly bounced back on each occasion to regain control of the match.
With this win, she snapped her four-match losing streak on tour and registered her first victory since Toronto. She will now look to register back-to-back main-draw wins on tour for the first time since the French Open in May.
She has played 20 events across all levels this year, with her notable results including winning the WTA 125 title in Manila, reaching the quarterfinals in Rabat, and making the third round in Doha, Indian Wells and the French Open.
