Windsor's Winter Million Meeting kicks off with four live races broadcasted by ITV Racing, starting with the Grade Two Lightning Novices' Chase. Renowned horses like 'Mahons Glory,' 'Hollygrove Cha Cha,' and 'Potters Charm' highlight the schedule. Detailed tips suggest 'Mahons Glory' could excel in the shorter trip at Market Rasen while 'Hollygrove Cha Cha' is anticipated to perform well in the Mares' Handicap Chase at Windsor. Each participation elucidates strategic racing conditions, indicating potential career-best performances that favor the peculiar track dynamics.

1:50pm Windsor - Lightning Novices' Chase Tips

2:05pm Market Rasen - Veterans' Handicap Chase Tips

MAHONS GLORY (9/2) didn't jump particularly well when he made his reappearance over this course-and-distance in September. Dylan Cunha's charge jumped left throughout under the welter-burden of 12-00, but plugged on well to finish second behind Coastguard Station.

Since then, Mahons Glory has produced two bold front-running performances around the Grand National course at Aintree, finishing fourth in the Grand Sefton and fifth in the Becher. Despite those excellent efforts in top handicaps, Lee Edwards' mount returns to Market Rasen rated four pounds lower than when he came here in September, and this shorter trip should be ideal.

2:25pm Windsor - Mares' Handicap Chase Tips

Everything HOLLYGROVE CHA CHA (4/1) has done throughout her short career has suggested that she's better than a mere handicapper, and Jamie Snowden's mare should have no trouble carrying 12-00 on Friday.

The only blemish on Hollygrove Cha Cha's form card thus far came at the Cheltenham Festival, where she was pulled up in the Mares' Novices' Hurdle. Gavin Sheehan's mount won a Grade Two around Sandown before that Cheltenham tilt, and ran a blinder on her chasing debut in the Colin Parker at Carlisle - where she was narrowly beaten behind two excellent geldings in Resplendent Grey and Handstands.

Hollygrove Cha Cha beat two of today's rivals, Bluey and All The Glory, when opening her account over fences at Exeter last month. Stepping back up to two-and-a-half-miles will certainly suit on Friday, as will the extra cut in the Windsor ground.

2:40pm Market Rasen - Alan Swinbank Mares' Flat Race Tips

Four-year-olds get almost a stone from their elders in this Listed bumper, which has led to plenty of winners from that age group. Two four-year-olds feature in Friday's field, and I'm leaning towards GALAXY STAR (8/1).

Alan King's mare won nicely at Stratford in October, meaning she carried a penalty into her second bumper outing at Newbury. Tom Bellamy's mount scythed through the field once they turned for home, going from near-last to first before reaching the final flight, only to get outbattled late on by Lady Litigator.

The two reoppose on Friday, but off level-weights this time, which should enable Galaxy Star to reverse that Newbury form. King's horses are going well at the moment, and this daughter of Planteur looks to have plenty of talent.

3:00pm Windsor - Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Hurdle Tips

An excellent little contest, where all of the top four have a chance. I'm going to keep the faith with POTTERS CHARM (10/3), after he ran so well in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot.

Sam Twiston-Davies' mount travelled as well as anyone throughout that Grade One. Rounding the final bend, Potters Charm began to feel the pinch, but kept on gamely to finish third as Impose Toi, Strong Leader and Honesty Policy moved on to fight out the finish.

Nigel and Willy's seven-year-old improved with his racing last term, and seems to be doing the same again this year. Potters Charm relished slightly softer ground as a novice, and this will be the first chance he's encountered properly soft ground this season. Two-and-a-half-miles seems to be his best trip, and I'm hopeful that the course at Windsor will suit.

3:35pm Windsor - Sovereign Handicap Hurdle Tips

Dan Skelton runs four in this hugely competitive handicap hurdle. The least-fancied of his quartet is KNICKERBOCKERGLORY (16/1), who finished a creditable third behind Secret Squirrel and new stablemate, Kabral Du Mathan in this contest 12 months ago.

Skelton's ten-year-old bolted up at Sandown on his only previous start before Windsor last term, and returned to that venue to defend his crown last month. Harry Skelton's mount ran a brave race from the front again, but was picked off late on by two-time Imperial Cup winner Go Dante, who was getting eight pounds from the runner-up at the weights.

Harry Atkins gets the opportunity to ride Knickerbockerglory on Friday, and his seven-pound claimer leaves Skelton's stalwart carrying a lovely racing weight. Any further softening of the ground will be welcome too, as this ten-year-old - who remains at the top of his game - loves to get stuck into the ground.
